Modules for global justice
Below you will find several training resources that will help you understand the world in relation to global inequalities, conflicts, discrimination and violations of rights, but also understand the responses of the civil society from nonviolent perspective. These modules have been developed by SCI Catalunya in collaboration with Escola de Cultura de Pau, l’Etnogràfica and l’Observatori del deute en la Globalització (ODG)
CULTURE OF PEACE
What is positive and negative peace? What is conflict? What is violence? We analyze concepts and understand why peace action is still important today.
FORCED DISPLACEMENT
Which armed conflicts are generating forced displacement and migration around the world? What are their causes and consequences in civil societies? What violations of rights are they generating?
GENDER AND PEACEBUILDING
How do we analyze global justice from a gender perspective? What is the impact of global conflicts and inequalities on women, girls and the LGBTIQ + community? We tackle rights violations and discover proposals for change.
THE ROLE OF THE YOUTH FOR PEACE
What role do young people play in peace-building? How do they feel about inequality and how do they deal with it? We know experiences from the youth movement for peace.
PEACE STRATEGIES IN CATALONIA
Learn about experiences of nonviolent civil mobilization at home and analyze the potential for transformation and construction of global peace and justice. Through this capsule you will discover creative and purposeful responses to the current political context.
CLIMATE JUSTICE
Analyze the context of the environmental crisis, its causes and consequences, and look for experiences of changing the model that seeks sustainability and care for nature and its resources.
