Aquest 2025, fot el camp!

Et presentem els camps de treball que tindran lloc arreu del món aquest estiu. No perdis l’oportunitat de participar en un projecte de voluntariat transformador!

Hi ha centenars de projectes de voluntariat transformador de curta durada durant tot l’any, però a l’estiu es multipliquen les opcions. Tot i que no hi ha una data límit d’inscripció als camps de treball, és a partir d’aquest moment que la base de dades de projectes comença a omplir-se d’oportunitats. Enguany podràs viure l’experiència d’un camp de treball arreu del món i també al territori.  No t’ho perdis, aquest estiu, fot el camp!

CAMPS DE TREBALL A EUROPA

blankESTONIA: Alliksaare Horse Farm 1 (5th – 30th May)

Description: Alliksaare Farm on Hiiumaa Island is an organic farm promoting sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more about it and to help hard working people. Alliksaare Farm breeds an endangered breed of horses called Estonian Native horse. This is their main focus. Also Alliksaare Farm has an important task taking care of coastal meadows which are international birds migration area under protection of NATURA Program.
Type of Work: Alliksaare Farm’s main direction is horse breeding. The work can be diverse: it is to take care and maintain the pastures located by the sea – clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. However the major and the most important one is work with horses directly – taking care and training them.

GERMANY: Unearthing Stories: Archaeology & Remembrance at Ravensbrück (12th – 16th May)

Description: The Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp was built in 1939 near Fürstenberg an der Havel. The Ravensbrück Memorial preserves testimonies and traces, promotes remembrance and research, and is also an active place of learning and meeting. International work camps take place every year on the former campsite.
Type of Work: Together with two archaeologists from the Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation and the State Archaeological Museum, we will be carrying out archaeological excavations at the site of a former prisoner barracks. The work is expected to be strenuous and will take place without cover from the sun.

PORTUGAL: Hands on (1st  – 12th July)

Description: HANDS ON is a camp where young people acquire social skills, learn and practice Social Thinking in a supportive environment. All campers participate daily in a social group dedicated to organizing and distributing clothing and essential goods to families in need and also supporting children in spending their vacation time, which focuses on the social learning of concepts necessary for everyday life.
Type of Work: Counsellors support campers in the practice of social learning during camp activities, including participation in social volunteering actions. Specifically, volunteers will have to carry out two types of tasks in rotating groups. Under the supervision of the leaders, volunteers are expected to support summer activities (water holidays) for children aged between 4 and 10 years old. Under the supervision of the monitors, volunteers are expected to select, organize and distribute clothes, footwear and toys from the social store to the disadvantaged people.

POLAND: Integration Centre for Children and Youth – Summer in the City in Warsaw (28th June – 12th July)

Description: The Integration Centre for Children and Youth “Stokrotka” in Warsaw provides a safe and welcoming space for around 20 children from disadvantaged backgrounds. It fosters inclusion by bringing together Polish children and those from ethnic minorities, including Roma, Ukrainian, and Georgian communities. The programme aims to boost their self-esteem and confidence, encourage them to communicate in English, and create an environment where they can learn about different cultures and traditions.
Type of work: As part of the “Summer in the City” programme, volunteers will help organize activities for approximately 25 to 30 children. Their role involves co-leading workshops, animations, and recreational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and cultural exchanges. Volunteers will also support educators, assist with supervising children, and accompany them on excursions, which may include visits to a swimming pool or sightseeing around Warsaw.

TURKEY: Lycian Tales (27th June – 11th July)

Description: We are organizing this project in cooperation with Demre Municipality and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is a successful municipality in social municipality and supports International Voluntary Service.
Type of work: Volunteers will conduct environmental and cultural studies in DEMRE, one of the current parts of the ancient Lycian Civilization. They will take part in the preparation and organization of a cabotage festival. They will also be involved in the cleaning and arrangement of the famous Lycian Way. The ancient Lycian Way is under threat due to highway construction in the region. The work to be done by the volunteers will raise awareness. There are also auxiliary works related to sea turtles.

GREECE: Trianemi (23rd June – 4th July)

Description: TRIANEMI Kindergarten and Primary School belongs to a parents’ and teachers’ non-profit association aiming at the multifaceted and harmonious spiritual, moral and bodily development of the child. The kindergarten and primary school apply the Waldorf pedagogical method. This method aims at supporting the child to become a free person who will take initiative to form its own life meaning. Steiner spoke of the multifaceted development of the child, which does not only focus on the mental area but also on the body, sentiment, social and spiritual one.
Type of work: Volunteers will support the parents, teachers and older students to move the classroom material to the new building of the school.

ESTONIA: Kingu Organic Farm 1 (12th – 24th May)

Description: Organic farm Kingu is a berry, fruit and vegetable micro-farm in the South Estonia. The main berry crops are raspberries, various currants, gooseberries, Japanese quince, garlic and rhubarb. Everything is grown in an environmentally sustainable way using straw and hay. The farm promotes sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more and to help hard working people in country side.
Type of Work: The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week.

blankFINLAND: Sustainable renovations and gardening in a heritage landscape (26th May – 4th June)

Description: Get to know Finnish countryside and village life! In this camp volunteers join the local cooperative on their work to restore the historical vicarage area in Teisko village and create a location for both community life, cultural center and travel destination for those looking to embrace sustainable lifestyles and nature. The old vicarage area with lakeside location in the island is considered a heritage landscape in Finland.
Type of work: Volunteers participate in the renovation works of the historical buildings, such as the lakeside sauna and the outhouse, which was designed by an architect. Most of the work is done by hand tools and environmentally friendly materials. Volunteers will also participate in the garden work and may help with the upkeep of the nature trail that goes around the island.

DENMARK: Gnist Festival 2024 (27th May – 1st June)blank

Description: Gnist Festival is a music and art festival created by and for young people based outside any major city. It s a two-day festival with a lot of music acts, art exhibitions, and other major activities such as community dance, techno yoga, talks, short films, and many more. We value the spirit of the youth, culture, and all different kinds of art and music.
Type of work: Volunteers will participate in the preparation and management of the festival. First, they will get it ready building up the tents and practical stuff. They will need to decorate the whole area, and that includes building graffiti walls, painting signs, and placing items around the festival. We would really value it if volunteers can help us with other creative ideas. Then, volunteers will invite the guests to the festival and there will be shifts for every volunteer in different locations, such as the entrance, festival area, cleaning toilets, and other jobs. Finally they will have to clean and pack everything down.

DENMARK: Aalborg City Cup 2025 (27th May – 2nd July)

Description: Aalborg City Cup was first held in 2004 and has since grown into a large international tournament with around 300 teams each year, featuring boys and girls aged 9 to 18. The tournament takes place on Aalborg Frejas 21 fields, with matches running from 8 AM to 8 PM. It is always held during the Ascension Day holiday. Every year, we welcome between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors from across Europe. Each year, we have between 1,000 and 1,500 volunteers who help with various tasks.
Type of work: As a volunteer at the Aalborg City Cup, you will play an essential role in making one of Northern Europes largest youth football tournaments a success. To ensure the event runs smoothly, volunteers will help in various areas, including event setup, food service, information support, and venue maintenance.

NETHERLANDS: Counter NATO! (15th – 23rd June)

Description: This years NATO summit will be held in the so called ´City of Peace´ , The Hague, NL. Secretary-general Rutte recently stated that ´we´ must prepare for war and should seriously invest in defense. This must have been the finest music in the ears of the arms (trade) industry. The EU follows as well. A coalition of peace-organizations in the Netherlands, together with the international No-to-NATO coalition decided to organize a counter-summit at June 21+22 just before the NATO-summit. We are going to prepare for peace and the first aim will be dismantling the NATO.
Type of work: Before the counter-summit the volunteers will paint banners and prepare creative action-formats for the weekend. They will also prepare the venue and the cooking, disseminate flyers/posters and carry-out other last-minute publicity work; among others possible involvement in writing international press-releases. During the weekend they will carry out the creative actions. At the summit itself they will be ´guardians´ of the venue and its halls. Other tasks will be helping with preparing and serving the meals and coffee/tea, supporting the info-counter, setting and re-setting chairs and tables, cleaning etc. At the large demonstration tasks will be: building up/dismantling the stage and being stewards, together with others (safe-guarding the demo) etc.

SWEDEN: Bäckedal Folk High School (15th – 27th June)

Description: Bäckedal Folk High School is an institute of popular education for adults. Leather- metal- and textile processes, from ancient to modern times, constitute the core of most of our courses, alongside with sustainable living, democratic values and man’s historical relationship with nature. Bäckedal offers general programs for basic eligibility for higher education and specialized programs of traditional skills and crafts.
Type of work: This is a work- and study camp. The work will be building, repairing, maintenance, cleaning and painting. There will also be some gardening such as tree cutting, hedge cutting and plantation. Working and study time will be flexible depending on weather. Part of the work will be realized at Bäckedal’s recently acquired forest lodge/slightly derelict chalet Jo-jonsvallen, which is situated outside of Älvros, about half an hour’s drive from the school area.

UNITED KINGDOM: Camp Kernow: Environmental Adventure Camp with Children in Cornwall (31st May – 20th June)

Description: Camp Kernow is a not-for-profit organisation which operates an award-winning and innovative off-grid environmental adventure camp reconnecting children with nature and inspiring sustainability through summer camp experiences. We’re seeking volunteers to join the team as Environmental Adventure Leaders supporting children in a residential summer camp programme which engages them with nature, traditional crafts, environmental issues and adventurous outdoor activities.
Type of work: The work is varied and interesting and we strive to give volunteers a rich experience: -supporting children during activities providing supervision 1:1 support and encouragement -assisting instructors with the set up and delivery of activities -supervision of children during free time -pastoral care of children – meeting their emotional needs if they are feeling homesick or anxious or experiencing any issues with their peers -harvesting ingredients from the camp’s garden with children and helping them prepare meals in the field kitchen -supporting the team with day-to-day maintenance and cleaning tasks.

blankCZECH REPUBLIC: Weekend of Open Gardens at Veseli castle (6th – 8th June)

Description: This workcamp is organized in cooperation with the association Tvrz Veseli (“Fortress Veseli”) in the small village of Veseli nad Uhlavou near the Sumava National Park. Veseli Castle was built on the site of an older fortress in the second half of the 19th century. The mission of the association is to renovate the castle to its original form and reopen its gates to the public again – mainly for cultural and educational purposes due to during decades previous regimes left the castle in very poor condition. The goal of this workcamp is to maintain and restore the castle park, build a fence, repair a stone wall and clean the cellar of the castle.
Type of Work: Work will include planting flowers and bushes, incorporating natural elements into the garden, cutting overgrown trees, repairing the stone wall and cleaning the castle.

AUSTRIA:  ESC RenOffice – Empowerment, Solidarity and Community Development in Vienna (19th May – 2nd June)

Description: The activity intends to bring a group of international volunteers together with other young immigrants living in Austria to offer their solidarity to the community and learn together about the topics of integration, youth engagement, solidarity and volunteering. At the same time we aim to redirect the attention of the local community to such topics and relaunch the general support of the work done in the office.
Type of Work: The volunteers will support the community with small maintenance works to improve the spaces and make them more suitable and safe for hosting social activities and welcoming the people in need mentioned above. The international volunteers, together with other local youths with immigration background will be furtherly engaged in workshops, theater of the oppressed and impro-theater performances, public events and learning activities organized by volunteers members and the community office.

CAMPS DE TREBALL FORA D’EUROPA*

KENYA: Wongonyi Primary School (3rd – 24th May)

Description: Wongonyi Primary School is a public mixed/day learning institution offering competency based curriculum(CBC) and Early Childhood Development Education (ECDC). The School is situated in the coast region of Kenya, Taita-Taveta County, Voi sub-county, Mbololo Educational Zone, North West of Voi and 42 Kilometers away from Voi town.
Type of Work: Teaching, tree nursery establishment, earth brick making for construction work and home visits to experience challenges of development.

BOTSWANA: Khama Rhino Sanctuary (5th – 16th May)blank

Description: Established in 1989 due to growing concern over the then escalating prevalence of rhino poaching in Botswana, KRS is home to endangered black and white rhino. Once abundant in Botswana, these peaceful giants were on the brink of local extinction in the early 1980s, despite being granted protected status since 1922.
Type of work: The volunteers will assist in the maintenance of the footpaths, park fence, fire breaks and trails and helping in day-to-day business maintenance of the park. The volunteers will participate as a team in the whole duration of the camp. Volunteers can share and exchange different cultural forms during the work camp. The orientation for the work camp is scheduled at BWA head offices for the day before the work camp start at Khama Rhino Sanctuary.

NEPAL: Buddha Jayanti International Workcamp (9th – 18th May)

Description: Gautam Buddha was a spiritual leader who lived in the 6th century BC. His life and teachings emphasise the importance of self-reflection, compassion, peace, and the pursuit of wisdom. Buddha Jayanti also known as Buddha Purnima in Nepal is a festival that celebrates the birth of Gautam Buddha. The festival is celebrated on the Baisakh Purnima.
Type of Work: We will participate in Chandeshwori Jatra (Festival) which is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Chandeshwori or Parvati, is regarded as the biggest festival in Banepa. The celebration lasts for three days and is observed on the first full moon day of the New Year’s festival in the country. It commemorates the triumph over the demon Chandasur. An important task of the workcamp will be teaching in school.

blankSRI LANKA: Siripada Workcamp Sri Lanka (16th – 26th May)

Description: Sri Pada, also known as Adam’s Peak, is an ancient pilgrimage site that has long attracted thousands of Buddhist pilgrims. The pilgrim season runs from December to May, during which time the influx of visitors leads to significant environmental challenges, particularly with plastic waste. As thousands ascend to the mountaintop temple, plastic waste often mixes with the natural environment. When the rainy season begins, this plastic is washed away, ultimately ending up in local rivers, posing a threat to ecosystems and water quality.
Type of work: We encourage local volunteers to participate in an environmental cleanup at the end of the pilgrim season. This initiative will focus on collecting plastic waste left along the trail to Sri Pada. Volunteers will work together to gather the litter and transport it to a recycling collection point, helping to restore the natural beauty of the area and mitigate the environmental impact of increased plastic waste.
