Camps per a joves a partir de 16 anys

Els camps de treball per a persones menors d’edat permeten la participació de joves a partir de 16 anys que vulguin ser part d’un voluntariat transformador

La majoria dels camps de treball són per a persones que ja tenen 18 anys. Tot i això, hi ha alguns projectes que accepten també persones joves menors d’edat a partir dels 16 anys (en el moment de fer el camp). Per trobar-los, només cal que posis el filtre “International volunteers under 18” a l’apartat d’opcions del buscador de camps d’SCI Internacional.

La quota de participació en un camp és de 150€ que inclouen els 100€ en despeses de gestió, formació prèvia i assegurança i els 50 € de la quota anual de sòcia de l’SCI Catalunya.  Aquí tens tots els passos a seguir per inscriure’t a un camp de treball. Abans de participar en qualsevol camp de treball és obligatori anar a alguna de les formacions prèvies. Enguany són els dies 27 i 28 de maig a Calafell i l’1 i 2 de juliol a Clariana de Cardaner. Si tens menys de 16 anys, també hi ha l’opció de fer un camp en família.

SWITZERLAND : Mountain Hiking Trails (06th June – 17th July) (COMPLET)

Description: 
Salecina is located at the border of Upper Engadin and Bergell in one of the most beautiful landscapes. It is a self-administered holiday centre with an uncomplicated and open atmosphere. The guests cook, clean and do their own things.

Type of Work: 
The work will involve mainly cleaning and maintenance of hiking trails. We will work with light hand tools, shovel and pick. One part of the work will also be to remove the advanced vegetation on the trails with trimmers and air fans. In case of bad weather with heavy rainfall we will repair and maintain signalation material (stakes, laths, signs) in a dry depot.

BELGIUM : The tale Festival of Chiny (COMPLET)

Description:  This festival is held for a weekend, in the enchanting setting of the village of Chiny, and offers the public a bunch of storytelling performances in French.

Type of Work: The volunteers will work with youngsters from the region and the professional staff from the festival to set up the performance halls, ensure stewardship during the festival, help with the organization and finally dismantle the site at the end of the festival. The festival takes place on the weekend, the volunteers will work 8 days and will have 3 days off for leisure.

TURKEY : Lets Speak English I (03th – 11th July)

Description: SEKADER is a local NGO aiming to socialize disabled people of the area through water sports. They hired a camping site where they teach swimming, canoeing and diving to disabled people. To raise a fund to cover the costs of the camping site they run a camp to practice English.

Type of Work: This camp is a great chance for teenagers to improve English in an international group with fun. Apart from the light daily work, there will be 3 hours outdoor English lessons, afternoon language activities, night games, cultural night and national dance activities.

CZECH REPUBLIC: Teens at the Camphill Organic farm (09th – 16th July)

Description: This project is organised with the NGO Free Farm in Ceske Kopisty, which is part of the Camphill Community movement. It is a family-like community that welcomes people with and without disabilities and creates a pleasant environment for everyone to live and work together.

Type of Work:
 Your work will mainly consist of manual farm work of all kinds. These include weeding, planting, hoeing, harvesting, watering, cleaning and storing vegetables, etc. In addition to vegetables, there are medical herbs grown, which you can also help to collect and process. You might also do gardening work and help out with the maintenance of the farm and its premises.

SWITZERLAND : Mountain Farm Loasa Cooperative (23th – 29th July)

Description: Alpe Loasa is a full-year organic mountain farm in southern Switzerland, at the Italian border. The many works are usually done by the tenant and the cooperative by hand. Many helping people are therefore very valuable.

Type of Work: Various works are planned: Construction of a brick wall in the house, renew drainage of the driveway, build stone walls for driveway protection. And of course some volunteers will also help in hay harvesting. Work tasks can be rotated among volunteers and need to be planned spontaneously according to the weather conditions. Due to the heat work starts early and there is a long siesta after lunch.

SWITZERLAND: Pro Terra Engiadina (30th July – 12th August)
Description: The Foundation Pro Terra Engiadina (PTE) is a cross-sector foundation which aims to maintain and promote the natural and cultural landscape, as well as biodiversity in the Engadine valley.
Type of Work: The focus is on the maintenance and promotion of biodiversity in dry meadows, peatlands or community gardens. Other work depends on weather conditions: clearing shrubbery from dry meadows, peatlands and along cultural structures; collecting stones to build cairns or dry-stone walls; retrieving branches and stacking them into piles; …

ESTONIA: Concervation Work with Estonian Nature Fund (31th July – 08th August)

Description: Estonian Fund for Nature is NGO dedicated to nature conservation. Its mission is to preserve endangered species and their habitats, natural landscapes and natural associations typical of Estonia. This year camp task is to restoring the habitats of endangered amphibians and removing non-native invasive plant species, which have to be accomplished in three different locations. Volunteers will clear the ponds of brushwood and vegetation, which helps to ensure the survival and increase of existing populations.

Type of Work: Work Removing brushwood and vegetation from the breeding ponds of newts at Haanja. Manually plucking out the Himalayan balsam at Karula and Otepaa. A typical workday will last for 6 hours. Work equipment and gloves will be provided by ELF.

CATALONIA: The iMAGInada – Festival for freedom of expression (7th – 18th August)

Description: The iMAGInada is a self-sustaining festival promoted by a cultural association formed by young people with a concern: to offer an alternative to the current economic, social and cultural model through the creation of spaces for exchange, empowerment, participation, dynamic and self-sustainability in the framework of the annual festivities of the city. For four days, the iMAGInada is a community initiative that offers cultural and artistic programming. More information, images and videos: www.laimaginada.cat

Type of Work: Volunteers will help in tasks related to preparations and logistics for the festival: assembling and dismantling of the spaces and infrastructure, setting of space, activities for the children, preparing the social activities (such as forums, world dinners, etc), supporting the kitchen and the bar of the festival and other tasks helping the organization.

CATALONIA: Recovery of old roads and dry stone building in an unusual valley in Pyrenees (25th September – 5th October)

Description: This year, the Vall de Siarb shelter will host a camp on territorial conservation. The group of participants will collaborate in the cleaning and recontruction of the old rural roads of the valley, collaborating with the Road Museum project that was created by the entity. Participants will be able to enjoy a unique natural environment in the valley of the High Pyrenees.

Type of Work: We will be working on restoring and improving old roads: cleaning paths, rebuilding dry stone walls, placing stones and improving trail marks with paint. We will spend the working hours (4 hours/day) in nature, surrounded by forests, fields, etc. The work is mostly manual and physical.
