Has fet un camp de treball amb l’SCI? Aquest any tens l’oportunitat de coordinar-ne un al territori!

Si tens experiència participant de camps de treball i tens ganes de viure una nova experiència intercultural, pots fer de coordinadora d’un camp de treball.

Pots participar d’algun dels camps que organitzem al territori (Catalunya, País Valencià o Illes Balears) assumint la figura de coordinador/a d’un grup de voluntaris i voluntàries. Només cal que tinguis experiència en camps de treball o grups interculturals, bon nivell d’anglès i ganes de participar-hi!

Les tasques de la persona coordinadora són:
 Fer d’enllaç i vetllar per la bona comunicació entre el grup i l’entitat promotora.
– Gestionar el temps, l’espai de treball i les estones de lleure, tot facilitant l’autogestió del grup i el bon funcionament del camp.
– La persona coordinadora és voluntària, i per tant, s’espera que tot el grup doni suport en aquesta coordinació.

VALL DE SIARB: Recovery of old roads and dry stone building in an unusual valley in Pyrenees 1 (5th – 15th May) [Necessitem 2 cordis]Voluntàries treballant al camp de treball de Vall de Siarb

Description: One more year, the Vall de Siarb shelter will host a camp about territorial conservation. The group of participants will collaborate in the cleaning and reconstruction of the old rural roads of the valley, collaborating with the Museum of Paths Project that was created by the entity. Participants will be able to enjoy a unique natural environment in the valley of the High Pyrenees.

Type of work: We will be working on restoring and improving old roads: cleaning and clearing paths, rebuilding dry stone walls, placing stones, and improving trail marks with paint. We will spend the working hours (4 hours/day) in nature surrounded by forests, fields, etc. The work is mostly manual and physical.

CAN XAMMAR: Learn about sustainability and decarbonisation with Fundació Roser de Maig (13th – 19th of April) [Necessitem 2 coordis]

Description: Fundació Roser de Maig is a social, educational and leisure ENL. It was founded to help those who need it through socio-cultural work. Promoting spaces for socio-educational and musical activities as they are key to their reason why. They support projects with other entities in the city and have other projects around Catalunya and on an international level. Since 1994 the foundation has been organizing activities for citizens of Cerdanyola including summer, christmas, educational camps, excursions, etc. Their existence is a way to support the community regardless of nationality or status and is largely based on collaborative and networked work. This approach allows not only to join efforts, but also to take advantage of these opportunities to build a transformative society.

Type of work: This camp will have a big study part nourished from reflections and discussions between the participants and their points of view on topics like global justice and peace education. At the same time, it will be combined with more workcamp likely activities. The sessions in project will be tackling sustainability and the work done in site will directly benefit Can Xammar (the local space that will host the volunteers of this camp). The type of work will MAINLY be focusing on the training theme, but at the same time there will be some physical activities related to the restoring and maintenance of the house (repairing, painting, etc.). We will also have contact with the local community of Ametlla del Vallès.

CAN PARERA DE CANYES: Rehabilitating Can Parera (7th – 18th of July) [Necessitem 2 coordis]

Description: Can Parera contributes to social transformation through a living a model of community coexistence and to promoting productive projects linked to the primary sector and give spaces for projects linked to sustainability and social commitment. Can Parera is inhabited by the cooperative since 2021. Currently, there are 13 adults and 7 children living in the community. The community life proposes a change of living not based on the nuclear family, there are community spaces for all. The house, food and care are shared transversally.

Type of work: The main task will be self-building tasks: Depending on how much the group of volunteers will advance, we will do any of these tasks: 1) plastering walls with lime mortar 2) rebuilding dry stone walls 3) garden work 4) Naturalization of the pond 5) painting, processing of surplus vegetables and woodwork.

blankÀGER: From scratch to skyline: Cultivating Rural Transit (1st – 15th of August) [Necessitem 2 coordis]

Descripció: La missió de l’Associació Neorurals és ajudar a totes les persones que resideixen a les ciutats però interessades en els estils de vida rurals a trobar solucions que puguin facilitar aquesta transició. Totes les nostres accions es basen en una idea central: el desenvolupament cultural de l’entorn rural. Hi ha una degradació cultural i molts dels coneixements dels nostres avantpassats estan desapareixent a causa de no ser útils en l’estil de vida urbà. Revertir aquesta situació, promoure un retorn permanent a les zones rurals requereix treballar en la reactivació de determinats components culturals. Només d’aquesta manera podem crear un cercle viciós on la cultura porti les persones i les persones portin més cultura.

Tipus de treball: Les tasques del campament seran principalment construcció i neteja del bosc, treballarem per obrir un camí per accedir al magatzem que s’està construint. Altres tasques com la pintura mural, el treball de la fusta i l’arranjament de la fusta també es faran durant el campament. Es necessitaran habilitats de bricolatge per a la construcció del vàter sec on s’utilitzaran materials reciclats incloent panells de fusta i fenc que haurem de recollir de les granges veïnes. Les tasques de treball seran sempre fàcils i segures, sempre acompanyades d’un professional que guiarà als voluntaris.

Description: The local organization Balmes Blancs, a non-profit association was created in 2010 to offer unique activities in nature located in The Vall de Siarb mountains, they host this special camp with us another year. With their shelter located in Llagunes, one of the smallest villages in the valley. They host this camp about territorial conservation, nature, history, and path knowledge.If you love nature and hikes, THIS IS YOUR WORKCAMP!

Type of work: We will be working on restoring and improving old roads, specially the roads and paths that the org. Balmes Blancs worked so hard to create: cleaning paths, rebuilding dry stone walls, placing stones and improving trail marks with paint. We will spend the working hours (4 hours/day) in nature, surrounded by forests, fields, etc. The work is mostly manual and physical. The group of participants will collaborate in the cleaning and reconstruction of the old rural roads of the valley, collaborating with the Museum of Paths Project that was created by the entity. Participants will be able to enjoy a unique natural environment in the valley of the High Pyrenees.

TINENÇA DE BENIFASSÀ: Let’s build an iberian house – Experimental Archaeology (12th – 21st April) [Necessitem 1 coordi]

Description:
We’re witnessing rapid changes in our environment & the protagonists of it ought to be locals aiming to keep it alive & attractive to live in through sustainable land cultivation. In our association we engage in four areas: Culture: ART grew out of our care for culture, to recover the history and heritage of our region; Urban environment: We defend responsible and sustainable growth in the Natural Park; Territory:We collaborate with hiking centers and we try to protect nature by cultivating natural forests and agriculture; Infrastructures: We create good quality infrastructures to prevent the depopulation of the region; by reconstructing one of the houses in the Iberian site of Morranda using experimental archaeology you can better understand the Iberian world and help cultural tourism there.
Type of work: The work will be mostly manual and it will consist in the clay construction of a replica house from the Iberian period, using experimental archaeology techniques. We will have the support provided by a collaboration with technicians in biodynamic construction and two others in experimental archaeology.

Minimum age: 16 years old.
