PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SCI’s mission is to promote a culture of peace by organising international volunteering projects with local and global impact. The volunteers work will support this mission.The volunteer will be supporting the implementation of a 1-year project in SCI called ‘Gendered Realities’. The volunteer will work closely with the Project Officer, as well as Finance Officer at different times. All volunteers in the office are managed by the Volunteer Coordinator, who will also support with the volunteers experience during their placement. They will also be involved with the organisation, implementation and follow-up of at least one international activity and will be involved in the project report writing for the donor. The Project ESC volunteer will also work with the three microgrants (alternatively titled 3 Funds within SCI) being managed from the International Secretariat. Each microgrant has a team that the volunteer would cooperate with in order to promote, implement and then evaluate.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The participant will work in total 37,5 hours a week and will receive 2 free days per month during the voluntary service. You will get: A 12 months volunteer contract with Service Civil International’s International Secretariat; A personal mentor who will support you during you time in Belgium; A bike sharing card to explore the beautiful city of Antwerp; A furnished room in a house with shared facilities (kitchen, bathroom); A monthly 380EUR allowance; Travel reimbursement for your travel between Antwerp and your place of residence; SCI Health Insurance
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
An interest in the topics of human rights, solidarity, volunteering, intercultural dialogue, and gender, and who is eager to contribute to SCI´s mission of promoting a culture of peace; Interest in management of projects with European funding; Looking to build/improve cooperation in a team (also working remotely); Good English language skills (spoken and written); Interest to work in a busy, international office and is ready to multitask.
