Descobreix els camps de treball sobre protecció del medi ambient, ecologia i sostenibilitat. N’hi ha més de 100 al territori i arreu del món!
Hi ha camps al territori i arreu del món sobre una gran varietat de temàtiques: antiracisme, gènere, infants, persones en situació de dependència, recuperació del territori i art, entre d’altres. En aquesta notícia, però, destacarem els camps que es centren en la protecció del medi ambient, ecologia i sostenibilitat.
La quota de participació en un camp és de 150€ que inclouen els 100€ en despeses de gestió, formació prèvia i assegurança i els 50 € de la quota anual de sòcia de l’SCI Catalunya. Aquí tens tots els passos a seguir per inscriure’t a un camp de treball. Abans de participar en qualsevol camp de treball és obligatori anar a alguna de les formacions prèvies. Enguany són els dies 27 i 28 de maig a Calafell i l’1 i 2 de juliol a Clariana de Cardaner. Si tens menys de 16 anys, també hi ha l’opció de fer un camp en família i si tens de 16 a 18 anys pots consultar els camps per menors.

U-K: Volunteer in the Scottish Highlands, Leckmelm Farm, Ullapool (25th June – 07th July)
Description: Leckmelm is a small farm in the North West Highlands of Scotland. The farm is run ecologically and where possible, Leckmelm aims to provide sustainable jobs and houses to local families. They have a garden run by a local community group which provides growing opportunities for people who don’t have a land to garden or for people who want to learn more. The farm aims to manage the land in a way that benefits the environment and peripheral ecosystems.
Type of Work: Woodland biodiversity work removal of invasive species. Native woodland brashing. Organic gardening. Visit to a community project in Ullapool.
BOSTWANA : Khama Rhino Sanctuary (10th -21th July )
Description: Khama Rhino Sanctuary is a conservation park for the endangered white and black rhinos. It also hosts a wide range of animals including kudus, impalas, gemsboks, giraffes, and a variety of small animals and birds. Volunteers at the nature reserve can enjoy day and evening game drives and some educational lectures on some days. Volunteers can also arrange to join the rangers for their animals counting exercises and patrols along the park fences.
Type of Work: The volunteers will assist in the maintenance of the footpaths, park fence, fire breaks and trails and helping in day-to-day business maintenance of the park. The volunteers will participate as a team in the whole duration of the camp.
SLOVAKIA: Eco-Slatinka (21th July – 05th august)
Description: The Slatinka Association was established in 1993 as a reaction to the construction of the Slatinka water dam on the Slatina River. The association’s mission is to work at the basin of the Slatina River, to protect the environment and preserve natural areas while spreading consciousness of the project’s effects on nature.
Type of Work: The volunteers will help with cleaning the area in Slatinka: cutting the grass, taking care of the trees, cleaning the educational trail. The working hours are from Monday to Friday divided as follows: 4 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.
CATALUNYA: Can Pipirimosca (23rd July – 6th August)
Description: Can Pipirimosca is an ecological farm where agriculture, far from being the main objective, is the means that allows the organization of cultural and associative activities. From the operation as a farm, a production is obtained that allows self-sufficiency and the possibility of making a sustainable lifestyle and consistent with the environment where exchange, multiculturalism, coexistence, personal growth and education in values are the ultimate goals. Proposal at Can Pipirimosca is simple lifestyle, activism and learn to use what you have which might be a challenge.
Type of Work: You will have an experience deeply ecological meaning zero waste, sustainable food (nearly vegan), no coffee, no WiFi, no running water but solar showers and compost toilet etc. The main project will be to help in the maintenance of a shed next to the house which will be the space where courses, workshops will be held. You should be advised that the work to be done will be mostly physical.
GERMANY: Ecological farming for saving our planet, Marth (29th July – 12th august)
Description: In a village in the midst of a hilly landscape lies the “Kastanienhof”, an old farm, which today belongs to the non-profit association “Lebens und Agrarkulturelle Initiative e.V.”. Its goals are: ecological agriculture with the aim of preserving old crops and endangered farm animals, renewable energies, historical-biological building and communal living.
Type of Work: The Kastanienhof organizes two construction weeks every year, bringing together members of the association, dedicated craftsmen, former and current volunteers and an international SCI work camp. Work is done on the listed building: woodwork, plastering with clay and cement, building on scaffolding.
CZECH REPUBLIC : Free Farm – ESC (26th July – 09th august)
Description: This ESC project is organised with the NGO Free Farm in Ceske Kopisty. It is a family-like community that welcomes people with and without disabilities and creates a pleasant environment for everyone to live and work together. Vegetables, herbs, and fruits are grown and processed organically. Free Farm aims to raise awareness of biodynamic farming and the role of a farmer nowadays.
Type of Work: Your work will mainly consist of manual farm work of all kinds. These include weeding, planting, hoeing, harvesting, watering, cleaning and storing vegetables, etc. In addition to vegetables, there are medical herbs grown, which you can also help to collect and process.
JAPAN: Mogami (05h – 11th August)
Description: Accepting farmers deepen their understanding of agriculture and rural areas through “farming experience” and accept volunteers to overcome the challenges of a declining population due to a falling birthrate and an ageing population. The aim is also to create various connections and exchanges between urban and rural areas through the experience of rural life and the dissemination of information from farming and mountain village areas.
Type of Work: 1) Helping to maintain the fields, grow kikurage and herbs, etc. 2) Taking care for chickens in free-range farms, etc.
DENMARK: Project Clean Beach 2023 (05th – 17th august)
Description: The Danish Nature Agency manages tasks in forests, natural areas, and along the shores of Denmark. It manages the Ministry s approximately 200,000 hectares of forests and natural areas to create the greatest possible value for society in terms of good conditions for outdoor recreation, nature protection, and efficient operation of the Agency s forests and other natural areas.
Type of Work: The island, REmE, is incredibly famous for its unique and beautiful marine environment. Therefore, we need your help protecting and securing the island s important beaches and marine ecosystems. This Work Camp aims both at combatting plastic pollution and spreading awareness about the importance of keeping our oceans clean from waste. The work consists of collecting waste that is washed up from the sea and cleaning the coast on selected stretches.
GERMANY: Experience Renewable Energies (05th – 19th august)
Description: Energy transition without dependencies on gas, oil, coal is that possible? The Center for Sustainable Development “artefact” is 100% self-sufficient in renewable energies. They organize projects and seminars on global learning. The building, the climate park and the nature experience area have to be repaired again and again and extended by new stations. Support the park with other volunteers to stay attractive for visitors.
Type of Work: Repair work and further development of the renewed climate park for visitors, planting of a water reservoir, maintenance work such as painting, weeding, etc. on the grounds.
CZECH REPUBLIC: Permaculture in practice – Learn and act ! (13th – 26th august)
Description: This workcamp is organised in cooperation with the Association for Development 3K. The aim of the workcamp is to prepare the orchard for autumn planting according to the rules of permaculture to increase the long-term resistance of crops and support local biodiversity
Type of Work: The work will be mainly manual and outdoor – digging holes for trees, mulching the surrounding soil with organic material, shredding branches, retaining water in the landscape, collecting waste in the forest and in the village, drying hay, building bird boxes, preparing for the construction of an apiary, planting honey plants, preparing compost.
TOGO: Learning About Agro-ecology (14th august – 02th september)
Description: This project has two components. The first consists of the production of organic vegetables and the second consists of awareness-raising on eco-actions and training on agroecology. In setting up this project, ASTOVOT intends to focus on the initial aspect of agroecology: in the form of manual farming techniques, respectful of the fauna and flora.so as to enrich the biodiversity of the site and the fertility of the soil.
Type of Work: Weeding ; Making beds, nursery, hoeing ; Compost making; Protection of seedlings (shading), transplanting of young plants, watering of seedlings of different vegetables grown; Reinforcing the garden fence with bamboo; Construction of a straw and bamboo hut for relaxation and storage of tools and products; Organisation of educational activities in the garden with the children.
ESTONIA : Kingu organicfarming (04th – 17th September)
Description: Kingu Organic Farm is a berry, fruit and vegetable micro-farm in the South Estonia. The main berry crops are raspberries, various currants, gooseberries and much more. It also grows garlic and rhubarb. Everything is grown in an environmentally sustainable way using straw and hay. There are also ducks and bees in the farm.
Type of Work: The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables, then helping juice making and packaging. But there will be also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings and other necessary structures on the site.
AUSTRIA : European Green Belt camp (08th – 23th September)
Description: The dry grasslands of the so-called “Weinviertler Klippenzone” in the European Green Belt along the border between Austria and Czech Republic are habitat of a lot of different rare plants and animal species. To maintain these habitats and to avoid invasion of bushes into the grasslands it is necessary to establish regular management.
Type of Work: International and local volunteers will help mowing steep meadows and remove bushes from dry rocky grasslands that are threatened to be overgrown by bushes and trees. Work will be physical and will last for about 5 – 6 hours every day.
SWITZERLAND : Botanical Garden Alpinum Schatzalp (10th – 23th September)
Description: The private botanical garden “Alpinum Schatzalp” is a part of the Art Nouveau mountain hotel Schatzalp. There are over 5000 different species and types of plants from all over the world that are cultivated here. Like all botanical gardens our goals are: Conservation and collection of plant species from all over the world and Education of visitors.
Type of Work: During your stay you will get an insight into horticulture, especially into the field of alpine gardening. Volunteers will mostly be working with different invasive species, and work on nature conservation. Apart from that, you will build pathways, prepare compost, propagate plants, maintain the garden grounds and prepare flower-beds.
