Participa a un projecte de voluntariat a Itàlia!

Al Servei Civil Internacional de Catalunya busquem una persona amb experiència en voluntariat internacional per participar en un projecte de voluntariat europeu a Itàlia. Es tracta de un projecte remunerat que dura 7 mesos a Roma, per donar suport a l’oficina d’SCI Itàlia.
Aquests són els requisits:

– Experiència prèvia en voluntariat internacional i en treball amb joves en risc de exclusió social
– Experiència en coordinació i dinamització de grups
– Bona disposició per la feina d'oficina
– Alt nivell d’anglès parlat i escrit
– Es donarà preferència socis/es i voluntaris/es de l’SCI Catalunya.

"Multilplying Youth Mobility": Office support person at the Italian branch of Service Civil International

Location: Rome, Italy
Remuneration: around 1200 euro per month
Travel costs: 70% covered

Service Civil International (SCI) is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting a culture of peace by organizing international voluntary projects for people of all ages and backgrounds. The organization consists of over 40 branches and groups and an ever growing number of partner organizations. 

The following are SCI's main activities:
– International voluntary projects, long term volunteering and youth exchange:
– Trainings & seminars
– Peace education and public thematic events

The participant needs to have a relevant knowledge in the field of international volunteering and solidarity projects.
He/she will be in charge of different tasks:

1. Deal  with volunteers' applications applying for work-camps in Italy and in Europe. The activities will include the following tasks:
– working with the On-line Placement System;
– contacting SCI branches and volunteers for placement issues;
– sending e-mails and answering the phone to inform on work-camps activities in Italy and in other SCI branches;
– dealing directly with the embassies and consulates for visa issues.

2. Support the activities falling within the area of social inclusion. The activities will include the following tasks:
– organizing preparatory and training events for youth with fewer opportunities;
– coordinating youth exchange including youth with fewer opportunities;
– assisting the project management from an administrative point of view (collecting receipts and organizing them for the final report).

3. Support the organization of activities, initiatives and projects in the “Utopia City”. This is a project of SCI-Italy in Rome meant to be a social and cultural laboratory working for a new model of local and global development – balanced, sustainable and fair – where public events on the topics of interculturality, social inclusion, international solidarity and sustainable development take place.
